Visual Development

My main job on Reading Adventure was to create a style for the game. 

​

The direction was created by the main plot of the game "catching dreams". With that in mind, I was inspired by dreamy and flowy art nouveau and children's book illustration, with a sprinkle of silly cartoony style; the Reading Adventure style was created. 

​

"Everything looks like it’s flowing, like wind or clouds, like dreams. Some things are odd; the rocks have faces, some elements float, some things glow, and some things are larger than real life. You can feel it, there’s something dreamy and magical in the air."
